Abdul Aziz is the Regional Managing Partner of the Middle East offices of DLA Piper. Prior to moving to Middle East Abdul Aziz was the Office Managing Partner of DLA Piper in Cologne, Germany.

His practice includes all aspects of restructuring and insolvency matters, including out-of-court workouts and reorganisations, both within continental Europe and in relation to cross border transactions in the Middle East. He represents lending institutions, insolvency administrators, distressed companies, private equity funds, purchasers of distressed equity and debt, and secured and unsecured creditors.

In addition Abdul Aziz's practice focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions and the representation of corporate clients and financial investors in acquisitions, divestures and joint venture projects as well as pre- and post-merger restructurings.

Abdul Aziz is fluent in English, Arabic and German.
