Anita Agajanian concentrates her practice on real estate acquisition, development, finance and leasing as well as the negotiation of construction contracts. Her clients have included property owners, national and regional developers, banks and other lending institutions, high tech, biotech, office, retail and restaurant tenants and public authorities.
Ms. Agajanian represents a national developer in its retail and office leasing work throughout the US, including the lease-up of 566,000 SF and 220,000 SF office buildings. She represents a developer in its acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing work around the country, and provides construction contract advice nationally to a major property owner with more than $2.7 billion in real estate assets. She also represents an airline retailer in leasing work at a major international airport. She assisted a health care company in the leasing and development of its 270,000 SF headquarters building. Her work has also included the representation of government authorities in airport terminal development and leasing contracts with major airlines at Logan Airport, the development of a 700-room hotel in South Boston and the development of a retail concession program for a large metropolitan train system.
Ms. Agajanian has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer Rising Star in commercial real estate by Law & Politics magazine. She is a director on the boards of the Boston Municipal Research Bureau and Riverside Children’s Center; a former co-chair of the Leasing Committee of the Boston Bar Association’s Real Estate Section; and has served as a mentor for minority law students through the Boston Lawyers’ Group.
Ms. Agajanian currently serves on the DLA Piper's Diversity and Leadership Alliance for Women Committees and on the Hiring Committee for the Boston office.
