Asher Bearman’s practice focuses on corporate and securities transactions primarily involving private equity securities, finance, tax, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and partnership matters . Mr. Bearman’s transactional experience is focused on the following:

• Regularly advising investment and private equity funds with respect to fund formation, structuring, internal operations and investment related matters. He has represented such venture capital firms as Ignition Partners, Northern Lights Ventures, Madrona Venture Group, Maveron, Buerk Dale Victor, Cornerstone Advisors, Pacific Horizon Ventures and Banyan Capital Partners.
• Representing public and private companies in equity and debt financings and in general corporate matters over a broad range of industries. He has represented companies such as Core Oncology, Valutech and Giant Campus.

Before joining DLA Piper, Mr. Bearman provided federal income tax planning for entities and individuals in connection with corporate and partnership formation and operation, mergers and acquisitions, and securities offerings. In addition to his transactional experience in taxation, he has represented entities and individuals with respect to federal income taxation matters before the United States Tax Court.

Mr. Bearman was named a "Rising Star" by Washington Law & Politics magazine in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He is also listed in the 2010 edition of Strathmore's Whos Who.
