|
David P. Lewis focuses his practice in the area of corporate and securities law, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and compliance issues, private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate governance and other general corporate matters. Among his clients are public and private companies, investment banks and private equity and venture capital firms. His experience covers a number of different industries, including education, technology, financial services, consumer products and media.
Mr. Lewis helped found DLA Piper's Education Sector and serves as the chair of its Transactional Services section.

Led the US$144.9 million initial public offering of Grand Canyon Education, Inc. in Fall 2008, which was the leading IPO in the United States in 2008 and broke the longest IPO drought in the US since 1975, as well as Grand Canyon Education’s successful US$113.9 million follow-on offering in September 2009
