Jeffrey Rosenfeld is a commercial litigator focusing on complex business disputes, entertainment, telecommunications and information technology, environmental/toxic tort, financial services, franchise and distribution, professional liability, insurance coverage, labor and employment, product liability, real estate, and intellectual property (trademark, copyright, trade dress, and trade secret infringement), as well as unfair competition and related business torts. He has been involved extensively in major multi-party complex litigation and has negotiated settlements of numerous matters without litigation. Mr. Rosenfeld regularly counsels clients on issues relating to records retention, litigation holds, and the preservation and use of electronic information.

Mr. Rosenfeld’s practice concentrates in large part on professional liability matters including errors and omissions claims against attorneys, accountants, insurance brokers, and real estate brokers. Mr. Rosenfeld also regularly serves as defense counsel in class action litigation for a variety of companies including those in the finance and insurance industries.

• Representing a leading accounting firm against claims brought by its former clients relating to “tax shelter” transactions; 
• Defending a large accounting firm in connection with third party claims arising from certain auditing practices; 
• Serving as defense counsel to multiple insurance brokers including retail, wholesale and surplus line brokers, in connection with a variety of malpractice claims; and
• Counsel for one of the world’s largest insurance carriers in multiple consumer class action lawsuits.
