Debbie Rosenbaum is an associate in DLA Piper's Intellectual Property and Technology practice, based in Washington, DC, and serves as the blog editor and manager for her practice group's blog, Re:Marks on Copyright and Trademark.
Ms. Rosenbaum practices in trademark, copyright and media law, with a specific focus on social media, online advertising and other Internet-based matters. She focuses on the selection, adoption and use of trademarks, domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement, and trademark portfolio management. She also assists in litigation matters in the federal courts as well as inter partes matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Ms. Rosenbaum earned her joint J.D. and M.B.A. degree from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School. During her time there, she served as contributor and opinion editorialist for the Journal of Law and Technology, worked extensively with the Berkman Center for Internet and Society and volunteered on a pro bono basis on a leading P2P file-sharing copyright case.
Before joining DLA Piper, Ms. Rosenbaum worked in both a strategic marketing and legal policy capacity for Google, on issues ranging from intellectual property and privacy to telecom. Having studied and worked with dozens of entrepreneurs, Ms. Rosenbaum is positioned to understand the nuances faced by brands in both startup and Fortune 100 companies.
