Denis is based in Moscow and St Petersburg offices of DLA Piper and leads the Corporate practice in the St. Petersburg office. He has considerable experience in corporate, M&A and investment law.

Denis is a recognized expert in M&A and has several major sales and acquisitions in food and beverages, commercial real estate, manufacturing, retail and transportation, including a number of the largest deals in Moscow and north-west Russia. He provides a broad range of corporate and commercial legal support to many investors in the establishment of new manufacturing facilities as well as on the restructuring of existing operations.

Denis has been heavily involved in several major start-up investment projects (both, greenfields and brownfields), throughout Russia, where he has advised clients on various issues during the initial investment stages (including, structuring, real estate and construction, corporate, tax and customs issues) and, subsequently, in relation to their operational stages.

Denis was highly recommended by Chambers Europe and Legal500 in 2007-2011. According to Best Lawyers 2012 Denis was recognised as 'Lawyer of the Year' in Mergers and Acquisitions.

His formidable client base includes Philip Morris, Toyota, Kraft Foods, Aegis Media as well as major Russian groups.

As a Co-Chair of the Investment & Legal Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in St Petersburg, Denis focuses his efforts on improving the business and investment climate of north-west Russia and maintains strong lines of communication with local officials.
