DLA Piper advises Sollers on the joint venture with Ford

DLA Piper advised Sollers OJSC, one of Russia's leading automotive companies, on a 50:50-owned joint venture with Ford Motor Company. The Ford Sollers joint venture started operation on 1 October 2011, just eight months after the two companies signed the initial memorandum of understanding. Pieter van der Hoeven, Boris Emmerig and Iain Bowler from DLA Piper's corporate, tax and intellectual property rights practice groups in Amsterdam and the UK advised Sollers on the transaction documentation.
