DLA Piper worked with the Badminton World Federation on the appointment of IMG Media

DLA Piper’s Sports Team is pleased to have worked with the Badminton World Federation (BWF), the governing body for badminton, on its appointment of IMG Media for the global exploitation of all media rights for BWF Major Events. The deal, which includes the BWF World Championships, is for a three-year period, beginning in 2011. DLA Piper's team was led by Nick Fitzpatrick and Patrick Mitchell. Nick commented "We've never worked with the BWF before and it was a real pleasure to have helped them in concluding their new media rights arrangements. We wish them every success." 'BWF's Chief Operating Officer Thomas Lund said 'we are very pleased to have started working with Nick and Patrick at DLA Piper, and with the outcome on this deal'. "
