Ellen Clark Clemot's practice encompasses derivative products, finance and securities laws, private equity and international capital markets.

In the derivative products area, her experience covers credit default swaps, total return swaps, and other credit risk transfer arrangements. Ms. Clemot regularly negotiates interest rate and currency hedges, forwards, and commodity swaps for banks, trading companies, and loan participants. She is a member of the DLA Piper Derivatives Policy Committee. She also has extensive experience with asset-backed securitizations including trade receivable, student loan, and venture capital asset classes.

Ms. Clemot practiced in London and Paris for over a decade. Her cross-border work includes foreign issuer representation in the capital markets area: listings on US stock exchanges, corporate commercial paper offerings, and equity and debt forms of private capital raisings. Ms. Clemot has also developed a practice in American Depositary Receipt offerings for foreign private issuers. Her international transactional practice is complemented by the DLA Piper offices around the globe.
