Aileen Barry offers over 30 years' experience working on HMRC top level investigations, initially as an inspector of taxes in the Special Compliance Office (now Specialist Investigations), 13 years at the top 4 accountancy firms and eight years with DLA Piper in the defence of clients undergoing or anticipating tax investigation.

In addition to the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility (LDF) and Code of Practice 9 (COP9), Aileen's work includes reviews of regulatory and operational tax compliance, involving employment taxes and statutory customer reporting and withholding taxes, such as PRAS, QROPS, ISAs, JISAs, Chargeable Events Compliance, FATCA, PAYE and NIC. Her approach, being to anticipate and deal with HMRC concerns, has won notable successes in the cost-effective settlements achieved.
