Frank Burch is chairman emeritus of DLA Piper. He helped lead the evolution of what was once Piper & Marbury, a regional firm based in Maryland with 250 lawyers, to DLA Piper, with 4,200 lawyers in more than 30 countries and revenue of US$2.5 billion.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Law Institute.

Frank currently serves on the board of C Wonder, a global fashion brand. He was formerly chairman of the board of Johns Hopkins Medicine, which encompasses The Johns Hopkins Hospital, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and The Johns Hopkins Health System, among other entities. He was also the vice chairman of The Johns Hopkins University and a director of the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity. He is past chairman of the board of the Greater Baltimore Committee, the University of Maryland School of Law and The Leadership of Greater Baltimore and has served on the boards of the Baltimore Museum of Art, Calvert School in Baltimore, Jemicy School, Dome Corporation and Equal Justice Works.
