Catherine has several decades of experience in handling real estate transactions. This includes negotiating complex funding and development agreements for institutions, developers and property companies and managing high-speed, high-volume real estate transactions, such as the acquisition and disposal of shopping centres, industrial parks, hotel chains, bingo halls, bowling alleys and shipyards. Catherine also has considerable experience in real estate support work for international and UK corporate mergers and acquisitions and company floats. Catherine is both Regional Managing Partner for London and London Office Managing Partner. In these roles she is responsible for the strategic development of the London office within the framework of DLA Piper's vision and objectives. This involves high level engagement with clients of the London office as well as working with the senior management team and giving direction to the local management team, ensuring delivery of quality results, communications and managing the internal service delivery. Catherine is also Chairman of John Wainwright & Company Limited, a member of the CBI London Regional Council and on the Advisory Board of "Heart of the City".
