Gregg Zucker is a commercial litigator who focuses on business disputes involving claims for unfair competition, tortious interference, breach of contract, violations of federal and state securities laws, violations of franchise regulations, successor liability, and insurance coverage. Mr. Zucker represents companies in the securities, insurance, franchise, financial, manufacturing and service industries. • Won a complete defense verdict at trial representing a large shipping company and a franchisor who were sued by businesses seeking over $100 Million for alleged fraud, breach of contract and purported violations of California franchise regulations.
• Successfully brought - and opposed - several motions to dismiss in large securities cases involving claims of unlawful market manipulation and fraudulent misrepresentations in PIPES (Private Investment in Public Equities) litigation.
• Prevailed on several Motions for Summary Judgment in a $2 Billion dispute for operations and products coverage of asbestos liabilities.
• Secured a $26 Million settlement representing a policyholder in a property insurance dispute over $24 Million in property damage.
• Negotiated a settlement for only $1,000 on behalf of the defendant in a products liability action that the client had previously appealed without success to the United States Supreme Court.
