William Russell focuses his practice in the areas of information technology, e-commerce, and corporate and securities. He has extensive experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of technology-related agreements involving software licensing and development, website hosting and development, technology consulting services, and systems procurement.
Mr. Russell also has represented clients in connection with numerous matters involving content licensing, outsourcing, joint ventures, strategic alliance agreements, online advertising and co-branding agreements, applications hosting, "click-wrap" and other forms of online contracting, website disclaimers and terms of use, privacy policies, and electronic/digital signatures. Additionally, Mr. Russell regularly counsels clients with respect to a variety of corporate matters, including formation, venture capital financing, and general corporate issues. The clients he represents range from start-up businesses to businesses in the Fortune 500.
Mr. Russell's practice also involves counseling clients in connection with technology assignments and transfers, copyrights, trademarks, and various other intellectual property matters.
In addition to his legal background, Mr. Russell is a Certified Public Accountant.
