JAPAN’S SUN RISES AGAIN?

A NEW GROWTH MARKET
FOR GLOBAL COMPANIES

Japanese and Asian companies with solid business models often lack the ability to raise sufficient funds to support their expansion and development needs. While the current credit crisis is having an effect, historically, problems with raising credit have resulted from either a lack of trading history or access to a specialist investor base.

A new joint venture between the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) and the London Stock Exchange (LSE) seeks to fill the funding gap through the creation of a new growth market (New Market). It is hoped that the New Market will result in major business opportunities for issuers, investors and other stakeholders alike.

For our readers, we have prepared an overview of the framework for listing on the New Market. Please read it here.
