Kenneth Starling, a senior antitrust lawyer, focuses his practice on antitrust litigation and counseling, particularly in matters involving mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, intellectual property, horizontal restraints and distribution practices. He has represented trade associations and companies in many industries, including health care, telecommunications, insurance, steel, construction, software, mining and food products. He has extensive experience in all phases of civil litigation, in both trial and appellate courts, and has led a substantial number of criminal trials and investigations. In addition to litigation and counseling, Mr. Starling is experienced in legislative practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Starling was a deputy assistant attorney general in the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice; chief counsel (antitrust) at the Senate Judiciary Committee; assistant director for litigation (Bureau of Competition) at the Federal Trade Commission; antitrust counsel to the House Judiciary Committee; and an assistant United States attorney. He is also a frequent speaker on antitrust law topics.
