Frans Stibbe appointed as new member of Global Board

Frans Stibbe, DLA Piper's Managing Partner for the Netherlands, has become the newest member of the Global Board. Frans took up the appointment on 23 September, succeeding Federico Sutti, Managing Partner for Italy, who stepped down after five years in the role.
Frans is a corporate lawyer with more than 20 years' experience. He has strong leadership and management skills, having been managing partner in the Netherlands for several years and an elected member of the Board of DLA Piper International LLP between 2004 and 2009.
DLA Piper's Global Board is responsible for developing strategy for the global organisation and influencing its direction. It has 15 members, including two non-executive members, who represent DLA Piper's International and US LLP's. The Global Board is chaired by Frank Burch.
