Frans Stibbe is a highly experienced, practical corporate lawyer who is recognised in the business as an expert in the area of corporate governance and corporate litigation.

Frans advises on corporate law issues and is involved in mergers, acquisitions and similar transactions. He has also taken part in dozens of inquiry proceedings before the Enterprise Division of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal.

Frans regularly publishes articles and gives lectures on his area of expertise and is a member of various associations, including Vereniging Corporate Litigation.

Throughout his career, Frans has also gained extensive managerial experience. He was the Managing Partner of DLA Piper in the Netherlands for eight years. He was a non-executive member of DLA Piper's International Board for three years and is currently still a member of DLA Piper's Global Board. In addition, he is a member of DLA Piper's Audit Committee, a member of the Supervisory Board of care organisation Haagse Woon- en Wijkzorg and he was a member of the board of supervisory directors of Markeur Holding, a large family business.
