Ana Tagvoryan handles a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts of California. She is a member of DLA Piper's Social Media Law practice group.
Ms. Tagvoryan concentrates in business torts defense, contract disputes, unfair competition claims and insurance claims. She also has significant experience in defending class actions, banking disputes and trademark infringement claims. Ms. Tagvoryan has handled cases at all stages of litigation, including complex discovery disputes and pretrial preparation of motion in limine and trial exhibit and witness lists.
Recent Successes

Won exclusion of key dispositive evidence, including hearsay statements, declarations, and expert memoranda on motions in limine in $9 million dollar adversary proceeding.

Obtained summary judgement for shareholders on cross-claims filed in adversary proceeding arising out of mismanagement of client accounts by health care management company.

Helped obtain summary judgment on behalf of fast food chain franchisor on issue of punitive damages liability.

Defeated class action certification of fraud and unfair competition claims against large reputable insurance company.

Obtained extremely favorable settlement terms for large document management company on $1 million claim.

Secured dismissal at pleading stage of class action claims against banking and investment institution alleging invasion of privacy and unfair competition.

Obtained summary judgment in adversary processing in bankruptcy on entire action against various equity investment funds and operating company on claims of aiding and abetting fraud by officers of bankrupt corporation.

Secured dismissal at pleading stage of complaint against real estate company of claims seeking rescission of real estate contracts.

Secured dismissal at pleading stage of complaint against bail company on claims alleging conversion and theft of vanity toll-free 800 number.

Obtained settlement funds, letters of apology and promise of racial awareness for African-American plaintiff on claims for civil rights violations and assault and battery against taxi cab operator and association.
