Helen specialises in pensions law and acts mainly for employers and pension trustees. She drafts scheme documents and advises on the pension aspects of corporate transfers, acquisitions and outsourcing. Helen is experienced in pension scheme mergers, reorganisation, scheme discontinuance and wind-up. She negotiates pension transfer agreements and identifies possible compromises to scheme funding difficulties. She also negotiates and advises on implications of TUPE for occupational pension schemes. Helen handles pension scheme disputes including individual member complaints. She is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers Legislative and Parliamentary Committee and comments on the potential impact of proposed legislation. Helen also writes regularly for the media, trains pension scheme trustees and employers and speaks at conferences. She was a speaker at the Association of Pension Lawyers' Annual Conference in 2003 on "Pensions, Flexible Retirement and Age Discrimination" and their Summer Conference in 1999. Helen is also recommended by the Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession.
