Hendrik Bennebroek Gravenhorst is a partner and Civil Law Notary in the corporate department of the DLA Piper Amsterdam office. Hendrik specialises in the notarial aspects of reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions, de-mergers, corporate restructuring and corporate governance. In addition, he advises on the setting up of regulated and non-regulated investment funds. He mostly serves national and international (listed) enterprises.
After graduating in law studies from the Groningen University (1997) he passed the Royal Dutch Organisation of Civil Law Notaries' (Koninklijke Notariële Beroepsorganisatie) postgraduate course in 2001. Next, he completed his postgraduate study in Mergers and Acquisition in 2003. Over the past ten years he has specialised in Dutch regulatory law.
Before joining DLA Piper, Hendrik worked for another reputable Benelux law firm in the Netherlands.
He was promoted to partner at DLA Piper in January 2010.

Areas of Experience
Hendrik has been advising clients with the setting up and converting of their investment funds and with all related regulatory aspects. Further he regularly advises upon PMI projects, the setting up of legal entities and structures, (tax driven) CV/Co-op structures, Corporate governance issues, pension funds and Private Equity structures. He lectures on many subjects mainly in the field of the new upcoming Dutch BV legislation (Flex-BV) and Investment Fund related subjects.
