Corporate responsibility

In each of our offices around the world, we make a serious commitment to public service by dedicating our time and legal services to projects related to education, healthcare, housing, hunger, economic development and law reform. Our contribution ranges from major, multi-regional initiatives of global concern to local arrangements benefiting schools and charities in each of our communities.

Our lawyers in the Budapest office are proud to perform more than 200 hours on pro bono counselling in 2008 for the benefit of ÖKA (the Foundation of Hungarian Voluntary Center), Csodalámpa Alapítvány (the Foundation of WONDERLAMP Wish Fulfilling) and Liszt Ferenc Zeneakadémia Baráti Köre Egyesület (the Friends of the Hungarian Music Academy).

The primary aim of the Foundation of Hungarian Voluntary Center is to support the Hungarian volunteers and their organisations with information, advice and training. Nonetheless, another essential aim is to popularise the voluntary culture itself and to integrate it into the work with private parties, social institutions and profit-oriented organisations.

The mission of the WONDERLAMP Wish Fulfilling Foundation is to grant a wish to any 3-16 year old child, who suffers from a life-threatening illness and whose family cannot afford to fulfil this wish. By granting the wish, the foundation would like to make the lives of these children a little happier if only for a few hours or days. We hope that with our help they will be able to forget the hospital, medicines, treatments and become at least for a while "everyday" children and maybe we can also strengthen their, and their families' belief and hope in a recovery. We regret to say that according to current statistics there are about 5000 children in Hungary who, based on their medical status - are eligible to wish...

It is our belief that the Friends of the Liszt Academy of Music - the building, the concert hall, the school, the institution, the genius - is such a treasure of the Hungarian national cultural heritage, which merits and repays every kind of support. Masters and followers nurturing the traditions of the past and forming the spirit of the future constitute the substance of the Academy. The Foundation offers the opportunity to organise different activities, which let members and non-members deepen their knowledge on the musical heritage which favours the Academy to maintain and develop its cultural and material properties.
