Michael Collins concentrates his practice in the primary areas of investment fund formation and related investment transactions, representing a broad spectrum of firms, including venture, private equity, buy-out, fund-of-funds, special purpose vehicles and institutionally sponsored investment programs, throughout their full cycle of formation, capital raising, operations, management and portfolio company investment activities. His client work extends across the United States, Canada, the UK and Europe.
In addition to counseling general partners, fund managers and sponsors of investment firms, Mr. Collins also advises a number of institutional investors in the development of business opportunities, asset allocation programs and the evaluation, negotiation and structuring of their fund investment opportunities internationally. He has more than 20 years of experience working with venture and private equity investment firms, private technology companies and capital financing transactions generally.
Mr. Collins is a frequent contributor to publications regarding private investment matters and is an active guest speaker and participant in a number of professional and business conferences.
