Jean-Philippe Sorba is the Regional Managing Partner for France and he also heads the Litigation and Regulatory department. He has been a member of the Paris bar for over 20 years, specialising in litigation and strategic counselling, including high value litigation in the construction industry. Before joining DLA Piper, Jean Philippe was a partner with Proskauer Rose LLP in Paris.

Jean Philippe is the counsel of several companies in construction and related services (such as concessions, energy, and roadwork’s) among them the worldwide leader. He is involved in the negotiation of contracts and resolution of disputes (including liability and financial claims) for significant projects in France and abroad. He has extensive experience in public and private construction law, public contract negotiations and litigation, procurement issues zoning law (including cities and municipalities planning), renovation projects, regulatory matters with respect to commercial equipment and related litigation, and environmentally hazardous facilities (both environmental litigation and regulatory issues).

Jean Philippe frequently represents and advises one of the three largest mobile phone operators in the French market in major issues including resolution of disputes and litigation with respect to the construction of the telecom network and related liability, primarily arising from EMR and the precautionary principle.
