Associate
|
Jennifer Baumann concentrates her practice in the areas of licensing, information technology, intellectual property, e-commerce, outsourcing and issues with respect to social media. She has extensive experience drafting and negotiating a range of agreements including licenses, master services agreements for research and development, distribution, software, trademark, copyright, patent, digital content, media, co-promotion, co-branding and merchandising. Recently, she has counseled several clients on the creation of corporate social media policies.
Ms. Baumann also focuses her practice on intellectual property and technology issues related to mergers and acquisitions and has additional experience in intellectual property litigation, domestic and international trademark prosecution, copyrights, domain name disputes, on-line gaming issues, sweepstakes and advertising. She has additional experience counseling clients on Internet and e-commerce issues including terms of use, privacy policies and the E-SIGN statute.
She has worked with companies in a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, consumer products, financial, retail, real estate, entertainment, food and agriculture, telecommunications and software development. She also advises several nonprofit organizations.
In 2010, Ms. Baumann was designated an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star through research conducted by Law & Politics.

Represents a large public specialty pharmaceutical corporation in numerous agreements including distribution, IT, licensing, research and development, manufacturing, service provider and confidentiality agreements associated with new business opportunities.

Represented a large public specialty pharmaceutical corporation to in-license technology for milestone and royalty payments for a dermatological product in Phase I clinical development.

Represented a large for-profit educational services company in a strategic co-marketing and purchasing arrangement to allow portfolio universities located throughout the world to purchase materials and obtain consulting services.

Represented a Fortune 500 and Top 50 brand owner in a web development agreement for the creation of an on-line sales portal.
