Joseph W. Sheyka has practiced in the field of franchising and distribution law for thirty years. He is co-author of General Franchising Considerations, published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education in Organizing and Advising Illinois Businesses.

Mr. Sheyka is a frequent lecturer on franchising and distribution topics. The respected English publisher Chambers and Partners cites him in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, calling him "a steady lawyer with a high skill level" with a "deep well of knowledge" and noting that he wins praise for his "exceptional ability when it comes to negotiating settlements" and "is seen as one of the go-to lawyers in Illinois for regulatory and legislative expertise."
