Law and e-commerce
The book
Recht en Elektronische Handel ('Law and E-commerce'), published by Larcier (2011) covers the most significant legal topics relating to e-commerce. It not only addresses issues relevant for starting a business online (such as registering a domain name, applying for a trade mark, contracting with service providers, or protecting intellectual property), but also discusses typical e-concepts (such as electronic payments, electronic contracting and electronic invoicing), as well as related areas of law, such as the processing of personal data, VAT, and the liability of internet platforms. Besides 'traditional' e-commerce -- such as typical web shops -- the book also deals with legal questions arising from new concepts, such as mobile applications, Web 2.0 and cloud computing.
Edited by Patrick Van Eecke and with contributions of Julie De Bruyn, Marc De Munter, Kristof De Vulder, Antoon Dierick, Alexis Fierens, Jeroen Gobbin, Pieter Gunst, Robert Neyt, Maarten Truyens, Geert Van Calster, Patrick Van Eecke, Elisabeth Verbrugge, Daphne Vervaet and Kris Wagner.
