|
Marian is the Country Managing Partner of DLA Piper’s office in Bucharest. He is a corporate expert recognized as such by legal directories, the business community and his peers. Legal 500 recommended Marian in the 2010 and 2011 editions:"[Marian] is highly respected by his peers”.
Marian specializes in mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt offerings, competition/antitrust. His recent experience includes advising Kraft Foods on the divestment of the Cadbury operations in Romanian and advising Petrom on the entrance on the wind power production market.
In his 15 years career as a corporate lawyer, Marian was instrumental in several major M&A and capital markets transactions, including, inter alia, the listing of Banca Romana pentru Dezvoltare, the privatisation of Romtelecom and of Petrom, and the sale of the RAV Antivirus business by GeCAD to Microsoft Corporation.
From January 2005 until September 2007, Marian was the General Counsel of Petrom, the largest Romanian Company.
