Michaela is the Country Managing Partner for Slovakia and heads DLA Piper’s office in Bratislava. She has an outstanding reputation in corporate and M&A, but also has in-depth experience in the practice areas finance, banking and real estate. Michaela has handled a large number of high profile transactions in Slovakia. She is an experienced lawyer with more than 10 years of experience in advising Slovak and international clients of all commercial backgrounds on transactions and legal issues of their operative business in Slovakia.

Prior to joining DLA Piper Weiss-Tessbach, Michaela was as Senior Lawyer heading the banking and finance team in the Bratislava office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Michaela was educated at the University of Vienna, Faculty of Law (Masters of Law, 1994; Doctor iuris, 1999) and holds a Master of Laws (2000) and a Doctor iuris (2002) degree from the Comenius University of Bratislava, Slovak Republic. Michaela is the author of numerous publications in Slovak and international legal magazines, books and other publications.

She is qualified and licensed to practice in the Slovak Republic and is a fully licensed member of the Slovak Bar Association.
