Hankey

|
Nick Hankey balances his practice between traditional labor law issues and federal and state employment law issues. He counsels clients in unfair labor practice matters, assists in responding to union organizing efforts, and in responding to administrative agencies regarding claims of unlawful discrimination and unfair discharge. Mr. Hankey also works with human resource professionals to provide counseling on a wide range of employment issues, including compliance with local, state and federal employment laws such as the National Labor Relations Act, Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act. Mr. Hankey devotes the rest of his practice to litigation arising under federal and state employment laws.
Prior to joining DLA Piper, Mr. Hankey served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles B. Day of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
