Nick Hobson has experience in a wide range of corporate and finance transactions including venture capital financing, debt financing, film financing, international joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, post-transaction integration and general corporate matters. He has represented clients in such diverse fields as technology, media, entertainment, financial services, life sciences, telecommunications, energy and hospitality.

Mr. Hobson's venture capital financing experience includes representation of both investors and companies in various stages of their lifecycle. Investors in these financings have included funds such as Anthem Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, Crosscut Ventures, D.E. Shaw & Co., Domain Associates, General Catalyst Partners, GRP Partners, Mayfield Fund, Prism VentureWorks and Steamboat Ventures, as well as strategic investors across various industries. With respect to debt finance, Mr. Hobson represents both borrowers and lenders in a variety of domestic and international commercial lending transactions, including venture debt, syndicated and single lender loans, and cash flow and asset-based credit facilities.

Mr. Hobson's film financing experience includes transactions involving equity and debt investments, loan facilities and slate deals for the development, production, acquisition and distribution of motion pictures, as well as the implementation of tax structures. The parties involved in these transactions have included ImageNation Abu Dhabi, Hyde Park Entertainment, Media Development Authority of Singapore, National Geographic Films, Parkes/MacDonald Productions, Participant Media, Relativity Media and Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.

Mr. Hobson has represented companies in a variety of international transactions, such as joint ventures with foreign investors, including sovereign wealth funds, and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. His international background and experience are particularly valuable for clients in these types of transactions.

Mr. Hobson also advises corporate clients and their boards of directors with respect to corporate governance, corporate finance and various other related matters.
