Harold B. Pomerantz is a member of the firm’s Real Estate practice group and is the immediate past chair of the firm's Real Estate practice group. He has concentrated his practice in the area of complex commercial real estate transactions for over 25 years, including acquisitions and dispositions of various types of real estate assets; commercial financing; syndications; partnership and joint ventures; development, operations, and management; and commercial leasing transactions. His clients include international manufacturing and consumer product and service corporations, national real estate development companies, national and international retailers and franchisors, retail, office, and industrial landlords and tenants, real estate investment trusts, shopping center developers, and real estate advisory groups.

Mr. Pomerantz is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and serves on the advisory board of Georgetown University Law Center Advanced Commercial Institute and on the advisory board of the Business Owners and Managers Association.

He has received a number of prestigious recognitions. Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, published by the respected English research firm Chambers & Partners, has cited him as one of America's leading lawyers in real estate in every year since 2003, the first year they began ranking business lawyers in the US, and in 2007 commented that he consistently "garnered glowing praise from satisfied clients." He is a Leading Lawyer in Illinois. He has been designated an Illinois Super Lawyer in Real Estate in every year since 2005, as the result of research projects conducted jointly by Law & Politics and Chicago magazines; and he was selected to be included in the 2007 and 2008 editions of The Best Lawyers in America for real estate law. He has also been recognized in the International Who's Who of Real Estate Lawyers and the International Who's Who of Business Lawyers in every edition since 2002. Martindale-Hubbell rates him AV, the highest rating available.

Mr. Pomerantz lectures frequently on commercial real estate issues to both bar associations and real estate industry trade groups.
