Patrick D. Thompson concentrates his practice in the areas of general real estate, land use and zoning, tax increment financing, public/private financing transactions, and real estate development.
Mr. Thompson has represented a variety of entrepreneurial and institutional clients in connection with zoning, tax increment financing, and public financing of development projects. In addition, his practice involves representation of developers and property owners in the acquisition and disposition of property, including contract negotiations, due diligence, project financing, and leasing matters.
Prior to law school, Mr. Thompson was a real estate leasing representative for PM Realty Group, where he initiated and executed the leasing and marketing plan for a portfolio of commercial office properties.
In 2003, Mr. Thompson was appointed to the Illinois Attorney General’s Business Advisory Council to help identify and define the issues facing the business community and recommend resolutions that incorporated the Attorney General’s assistance.
