Kevin is a US attorney and heads the employment practice in Shanghai. He has been based in Greater China for over 13 years.
He advises on all aspects of employment related matters, including documentation(such as employment contracts, handbooks and non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements), employment incentives, redundancies, dispute resolution(including mediation and negotiation with employees), employee issues in mergers, acquisitions and restructurings, audits of human resource compliance and data protection.
He also has extensive experience on a wide range of China and cross-border regional corporate transactions, such as joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, venture capital financing, project financing and corporate restructuring and reorganisation.
He has wide industry experience having represented or advised multinationals in the entertainment, luxury apparel and goods, airline, information technology, telecommunications, healthcare, biotechnology and manufacturing sectors.
Kevin is regularly asked to present at seminars or write articles for publications on issues relating to PRC Employment Law. He has also delivered a number of lectures on PRC mergers and acquisitions at events such as the Asian Legal Business In-House Counsel Conference, the Singapore Chamber of Commerce China Series seminars and as guest lecturer to graduate law students at the South China Institute of Politics & Law in Shanghai.
He has advised a number of Fortune 500 clients on a wide range of general PRC employment issues such as workplace issues and policies, termination and layoffs, data protection and privacy, social insurance obligations, executive transfer, dispute resolution, in-house training and compliance audits.
