Ortwin Carron joins DLA Piper's Corporate practice in Brussels

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that new partner Ortwin Carron will join the firm's Corporate practice in the Brussels office on 1 September 2011. Ortwin has nearly 20 years of experience as a Belgian corporate and tax specialist. Ortwin works principally in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), company (re)structuring, succession within family companies, and asset structuring.

Ortwin joins DLA Piper from Monard-D'Hulst, where he had been a partner since 2003. Earlier this year Ortwin acted as lead adviser to Axcel on the €351 million sale of Esko-Artwork to Danaher Corp. Other prominent transactions on which Ortwin has advised are the acquisition of Artwork Systems Group by Esko, the sale by the Schoepen-family of Bobbejaanland to Parcos Reunidos and the sale of Cash Fresh to Delhaize.
