|
Peter heads up the DLA Piper Prague Office in the Czech Republic; is location head of the DLA Piper Prague office Corporate Group; and is also the head of the DLA Piper Intellectual Property/Technology (IPT) Practice Group in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Peter has advised on different types of commercial contracts as well as participated in a number of significant M&A transactions in the CEE region for various international and domestic clients and also has expertise in government work and in the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights and other types of disputes.
Peter obtained a J.D. degree from Whittier College School of Law, Los Angeles (1993 - Dean’s List, Jurisprudence Award, Merit Scholarship) and a B.A. degree in History from UCLA - University of California Los Angeles (1985, Honours). Peter is a member of the Bar Associations of the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and of California, and of the 9th Circuit Federal District Court for California.

- Advising the Czech Ministry of Finance on several major bilateral treaty investment arbitration disputes
- Advising a major Belgium waste disposal company on potential operations in the Czech Republic
- Providing advice to major UK private equity fund on the acquisition of several internet companies in the Czech Republic
- Advising CzechInvest, the Czech government sponsored trade association, on various commercial/corporate issues in the Czech Republic
- Advising Inter/Continental Hotel Group on a divestiture in the Czech Republic
- Representing the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, on behalf of the Czech government, on a multi-million dollar arbitration over a major commercial TV station in the Czech Republic
- Representing the Ministry of Transport and Communication of the Czech Republic and the State Fund for Infrastructure, on behalf of the Czech government, in regards to one of the first PPP projects in the country involving the EUR 1.4 billion D47 Motorway Project.
