Examples of our experience
- Advising Qatar First Investment Bank L.L.C. in its capacity as a member of a consortium acquiring 100 per cent of the shares in Qatar Engineering & Construction Company W.L.L.
- Advised on a bid by an international securities exchange to take an interest in, and provide technical services to, a local securities exchange.
- Advising various corporations on the establishment of a presence in Qatar.
- Advising and acting for an entity of the royal family in Qatar in respect of the transfer to it of flight operations and assets (including eight aircraft) from the local international airline.
- Providing construction and development related advice in relation to hotels in Qatar and in the UK.
- Reviewing contracts and advising in relation to potential claims connected with the New Doha International Airport.
- Advising major government-related real estate development company in connection with the procurement, development and financing on a non-recourse basis from system revenues of major concessions for potable water, wastewater, gas and municipal solid waste, including drafting concession agreements and related documents.
- Acting as the Government of Qatar's legal adviser on the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption including drafting the new Qatar Anti-Corruption Law.
- Advising Qatar Petroleum on the reorganisation of the financing for the expansion of the Nodco refinery in Qatar.
- Advising the Steering Committee in relation to restructuring the debt of the largest private group of companies in Qatar, involving the creation of a structure akin to a debt-equity swap - the first of its kind in the region.
