Radiance A. Walters is an associate in DLA Piper's Intellectual Property and Technology, Trademark, Copyright and Media practice, based in Washington, DC. Ms. Walters focuses her dynamic practice on domestic and international trademark clearance and prosecution, trademark and copyright enforcement, trademark and copyright licensing, domain name disputes, and advertising and promotions. She has experience working with diverse clients including multinational and Fortune 500 companies, media and entertainment companies, hospitality companies, and fashion retailers and manufacturers.

Most recently, Ms. Walters has counseled clients concerning selection and registrability of trademarks, domestically and abroad; prosecuted trademark applications; counseled and negotiated on trademark infringement matters and domain name disputes; represented clients before the US Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in ex parte appeals, oppositions, and cancellation matters; developed trademark enforcement strategies; and advised on compliance issues for sweepstakes and promotions, and advertising campaigns.

Before joining DLA Piper, Ms. Walters attended the University of Maryland School of Law, where she served as Articles Editor on the Journal of Race, Religion, Gender and Class.
