Richard Coll concentrates his practice on bank regulatory, anti-money laundering and foreign sanctions compliance, as well as on investment funds, private equity, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and capital markets transactions. He has extensive experience in the areas of foreign exchange trading, acquisition and organization of new merchant banking ventures, participation, syndication and intercreditor agreements, project financing and loan work-outs.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Coll was Associate General Counsel at the investment banking firm of Friedman, Billings and Ramsey, where he was responsible for advising the Asset Management Group on the establishment of international and domestic private investment funds, regulation and management of mutual funds, and legal and regulatory issues relating to private clients.
Mr. Coll also served as Managing Director and Counsel to Deutsche Bank’s international banking and corporate finance practice, concentrating on regulatory analysis and oversight relating to the establishment of banking vehicles and investment funds in Latin America, the European Union, Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Russia, and supervising the group’s correspondent banking business in the Americas.
