Richard Wageman is a partner in DLA Piper’s Beijing office. Richard chairs DLA Piper's Franchise and Advertising group in China.

Richard has represented numerous companies and corporations with respect to their activities in China, specialising in foreign direct investments, corporate/ commercial transactions and real estate matters, with a focus on franchising and advertising matters. He has advised clients on the establishment of foreign investment enterprises in a wide range of industry sectors and with respect to acquisitions of Chinese domestic companies.

Richard also represents a number of international franchisors and advertisers with respect to their activities in China from setting up franchise systems, regulatory filings, reviews of advertising campaign material to all types of commercial/ corporate issues.

Richard has been recognised in the International Who's Who of Franchise Lawyers 2010 as a leading foreign franchise lawyer working in China.
