Rick Storms concentrates in employment and labor litigation (including government contractor, wage and hour, ADA, and jurisdictional issues); construction-related litigation (including defect delay and insurance coverage); and traditional labor law with emphasis on government contractors and construction, retail and agricultural industries.
Mr. Storms is recognized as a San Diego Super Lawyer. In 2009, the American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law honored Mr. Storms and DLA Piper with the Frances Perkins Public Service Award. The ABA notes that the award "recognizes those who have gone above and beyond what could be expected of diligent attorneys in making legal services available." Mr. Storms was honored for his leadership of the San Diego office's signature pro bono project, Serving Those Who Serve Our Country, a large-scale, long-term program providing legal and community support to veterans, active duty military personnel and their families in San Diego.
