Press Release

(Boston) – DLA Piper announced today that Daniel E. Rosenfeld has joined the firm’s Litigation practice group as a partner in its Boston office. Rosenfeld comes to the firm from Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis LLP.

Rosenfeld’s practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, including securities class action, intellectual property, antitrust, tax, construction, insurance coverage and bankruptcy. He has extensive experience in contract and development disputes on behalf of manufacturers, copyright and trademark litigation on behalf of software developers and distributors, claims of trade secret theft and unfair competition, and the resolution of multimillion-dollar tax and insurance disputes. His broad practice, significant experience and entrepreneurial energy complement our capabilities,” said Elliot Surkin, managing partner of the Boston office. “DLA Piper’s global platform is a good match for his business litigation practice, and Daniel will undoubtedly bolster our strong group. We are pleased to welcome him to the team.”

A frequent author and lecturer on insurance coverage, products liability, deposition and trial practice and evidence, Rosenfeld has acted as both local and regional counsel in multiparty, multi-jurisdiction litigation and class actions involving claims of personal injury and property damage. Additionally, he has served as lead trial counsel in federal courts in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts and New York and in state courts in Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island
