Sharon is a partner within our Finance and Projects group who advises on major infrastructure projects, PFI/PPP projects and commercial contracts. Sharon has a particular specialism in transport projects. She has extensive experience of various aspects of public procurement law (public contracts and utilities) and has advised a number of regulated bodies.
Sharon has developed expertise in infrastructure projects through her involvement in a number of major projects for both public and private sector clients. She advises clients on procurement strategies and drafts the full range of procurement and contractual documentation. She also advises clients on tender submissions and is involved in the drafting and negotiation of project agreements and main sub-contracts (eg construction contracts, supply contracts, and operation and maintenance contracts). Furthermore, Sharon drafts evaluation methodologies and evaluates tenders.
Sharon has a wide variety of construction experience, including drafting and negotiating consultants' appointments and warranties, standard sub-contract terms and conditions, and standard form and bespoke building contracts. She advises on novel forms of construction procurement including partnering, alliancing and prime contracting.

- Advising Transport Scotland (Scottish Government) in respect of the procurement of the Forth Replacement Crossing
- Advising Transport Scotland (Scottish Government) on the procurement of heavy rail rolling stock (and associated infrastructure enhancements) for the Scottish Government
- Advising Transport Scotland (Scottish Government) on amendments to the ScotRail Franchise Agreement arising out of the procurement of new heavy rail rolling stock
- Advising Glasgow City Council in respect of the procurement of its residual waste PFI project
- Delivering public procurement training on behalf of the Scottish Government to over 300 public sector representatives
- Advising tie Limited in respect of the Edinburgh trams project
- Advising the Scottish Funding Council in respect of various procurements and commercial contracts
