Stein is a partner and the location head of the Norwegian Finance and Projects group.

He advises clients on banking and finance issues, focusing on real estate finance, other asset based lending and leasing.

Stein has extensive experience advising on complex acquisitions, contractual matters and public procurement. He also advises employers on labour relations and negotiations.

Stein has been admitted to the Supreme Court of Norway.

He is fluent in German and is legal adviser to several German corporations.

• advising a lessor on rolling stock lease agreements and on the lease of IT assets
• advising suppliers of aviation ground services
• advising the Norwegian National Rail Administration on building a the Vestfoldbanen railway
• advising retail chains on real estate and other issues
• advising a foreign participant in a JV with a Norwegian producer of catalyst CO2 quotas
• advising a public procurement agency on a dispute with a supplier over intellectual property rights issues
• advising on offshore oil exploration contracting disputes
• advising on corporate mergers and acquisitions, in particular between Norwegian and German parties
