Document Production
The objective of the Document Production team is to provide a seamless, professional and efficient service to our fee earners which in turn allows them to deliver a quality document to our clients.  With this in mind we operate a 24 hour service, five days per week, across many of our locations with interactive working between locations playing an ever increasing and significant part of our success. We continually strive to exceed expectations by introducing new and innovative ways to improve and enhance the service by embracing technology, dedication to training and working closely with IT and HR. 

Our commitment to quality starts at the very beginning of the recruitment process and in order to join the team you will need to have proven technical skills (advanced word processing skills, preferably in all Microsoft packages).  We have a strong team ethos and all those working within the Document Production team are good team players with the confidence to work and communicate with people at all levels.

Facilities
The Facilities team's overall aim is to serve our clients and support the business by operating as a highly motivated team of facilities professionals.  The team works to service level agreements in order to ensure delivery of a first class service to all internal and external clients.  The department is constantly looking for new Facilities people of the right calibre at all levels to support and continually improve our offices.

Finance
We have a dynamic finance team which comprehensively supports the business and our clients.  The team is split geographically throughout our offices which enables us to provide a full service for all: from bookkeeping and technical support for our fee earners, through to production of management and financial accounting information and taxation services for the partners, to the operational and strategic financial management of our business.

The finance department offers career opportunities to accounting and finance professionals at all levels: legal cashiers, credit controllers, accounts clerks and qualified accountants.  This is a great place to grow and develop your career.

Human Resources

Knowledge Management
We have Knowledge Management (KM) teams operating throughout our offices.  The need for businesses to be kept fully informed and up to date, and to share and reuse know-how, has never been greater and the teams act in direct response to this need.  We look for all those in the teams to be excellent team players with strong communication skills in addition to being proactive and innovative in their approach.

Marketing
Our Marketing team advises and supports all areas of the business.  Our approach to marketing is one of focus. The team provides dedicated specialist support aimed at increased efficiency and reduced duplication of effort and resources across our offices.  Specifically, the team provides support in:
  • brand management
  • pitching and new business opportunities
  • client relationship management 
  • PR and corporate communications
  • corporate responsibility  
  • supporting internal business groups
  • database management
  • web and e-business
  • events and hospitality

The emphasis within marketing is that of supporting a global business and our structure has to be evolutionary in order to support the business where it is most needed so as to provide the right foundation on which to deliver information efficiently and consistently.  In order to ensure that we achieve a value based approach to marketing, we align our team and our activities to the organisation's strategic plans.

Secretarial support
Secretarial support plays a vital role.  As well as providing an administrative service the role also includes working on documents and acting as the first point of contact for many of our clients.  Secretarial jobs range from PA type roles supporting partners, through to junior level secretaries who may be working for assistant and trainee solicitors.  Additionally, there is a structured trainee secretarial programme in some offices where secretaries can join and train to become legal secretaries. 

The standard working week for support staff is 35 hours per week and paid overtime is available as business requires.  There is a strong sense of teamwork amongst the secretaries which is reflected in our values.  Each department has a co-ordinator who will supervise the team in order to ensure the smooth running of that department.  The role of the secretary is key to ensuring that we can provide the highest quality legal advice to clients.
