Associate

Ryan Leaderman is an associate in the Land Use department of the Los Angeles office of DLA Piper.
Mr. Leaderman's practice is focused upon land use planning, zoning, entitlement acquisition and protection, and due diligence. His practice includes General Plan and Zoning Amendments; all types of land use permits, including Variances and Conditional Use Permits; and the drafting and negotiation of Development Agreements. Mr. Leaderman’s practice also includes all aspects of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), including CEQA litigation. Mr. Leaderman interacts regularly with many types of governmental agencies. His clients include private developers, corporations, and non profit organizations.
Mr. Leaderman has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010 by the publisher of Law & Politics and Los Angeles magazines, and he is a member of the State Bar of California.
Mr. Leaderman graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He received his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 1999.
