David Gross concentrates in commercial and technology litigation, focusing on securities, antitrust, IP, and tax controversy in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, and conducting internal investigations.

Mr. Gross has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer, as the result of a joint research project conducted by Law & Politics and San Francisco magazines.

Other Experience

• Conducted or participated in more than 20 internal investigations, including those involving accounting, stock option practices, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, the securities laws, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and whistleblower claims.
• Represent wireless telephone service providers in constitutional challenges to imposition of local 911 emergency fees.
• Represented cable television providers in appealing multi-jurisdiction and multi-year property tax assessments on providers' use of public property for cable systems.
• Represented businesses in securities and securities class action defense, antitrust, tax litigation, and federal copyright/patent actions involving the computer industry, and provided representation of both principals and distributors/ brokers in distribution disputes.
• Served as an arbitrator/mediator for more than 100 securities claims against Prudential Securities, Inc. pursuant to the expedited procedures established by federal consent order and SEC administrative order, administered nationally by former SEC Commissioner Irving Pollack.
• Substantial teaching experience, including as a presenter on Securities Litigation and D&O Indemnification at the Stanford Law School Directors College.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience

• Extensive experience in arbitration and mediation, member of the American Arbitration Association Panel of Arbitrators.
