Grace Poe concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial real estate development, acquisition and disposition, finance, and leasing. She has represented numerous institutional, commercial, and developer clients in connection with the purchase, financing, development, leasing, and disposition of a broad array of property types, including office, retail, and hotel.

Ms. Poe is experienced in the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, reciprocal easement and operating agreements, site development agreements, financing documents, and leases.

In 2008, the Chicago Bar Foundation honored Ms. Poe with the Maurice S. Weigle Award, which recognizes a young lawyer who has made exceptional contributions to the profession, the organized bar and the community.

Some representative transactions/engagements over the last several years include:

• Representation of a big box retailer throughout the Midwest in connection with all aspects of its acquisition and development of sites
• Representation of a public REIT in connection with the structuring and implementation of joint venture relationships for the acquisition and development of apartment projects and related financing
• Representation of the owner of a portfolio of apartment projects in connection with the disposition of same
• Representation of an institutional lender client in connection with single site and portfolio financing transactions
