Adrianne C. Mazura represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law. Ms. Mazura has represented employers before the National Labor Relations Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as before numerous state agencies, courts, and arbitration panels. Her work as national labor and employment counsel for a telecommunications company has involved her in every area of employment law including union organizing campaigns, collective bargaining negotiations, and defense of numerous individual and multiparty cases throughout the country. Ms. Mazura's other clients include manufacturing companies, professional organizations, financial institutions, and airlines.
Ms. Mazura is a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, for which she also serves as outside employment counsel. In 2008, she was named president of the board of directors of the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education, an independent, self-supporting nonprofit corporation that provides career-long practice guidance and tools to Illinois lawyers and judges. She is a member of the ALI-ABA Advisory Panel on Employment and Labor Law.
The respected English research firm Chambers & Partners cites her in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, describing her as "excellent" and noting that her clients say they "can place complete confidence in her - her knowledge, pragmatism, efficiency and negotiation skills are remarkable.” In 2004, Ms. Mazura was named an Illinois Leading Lawyer in two categories: employment law - management and labor law - management. She has been designated an Illinois Super Lawyer, as the result of research projects conducted jointly by Law & Politics and Chicago magazines.
In 2007, Ms. Mazura was inducted as a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. The College is an independent organization that recognizes those who, by long and outstanding service, have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field of labor and employment law. Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by one's colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication, and excellence.
She is an author and frequent lecturer on labor law and related topics. Ms. Mazura has co-authored What To Do When The Union Calls for the Chicago Association of Commerce and Industry and Drug Testing In The Workplace, which is jointly published by the Bureau of National Affairs and the American Society for Clinical Pathologists. She has authored chapters in the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education employment discrimination handbook on Race Discrimination and Religious Discrimination and has served as an outside reviewer for the American Bar Association's Division of Public Education.
